We’re seeking top-tier talent to join our pioneering team and drive the future of our cloud-based products.What You’ll Do:Collaborate Across Teams: Work alongside Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions.Innovate with Modern Tech: Leverage your expertise in Java, Scala, Python, and open-source RDBMS/NoSQL databases to build and scale distributed microservices and machine learning tools.Contribute to Cloud Solutions: Utilize cloud-based data warehousing services such as Databricks and Snowflake to build solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of Americans.Stay Ahead of Trends: Continuously explore and experiment with new technologies and trends, mentoring and guiding other team members along the way.Focus on Quality: Perform unit tests and collaborate with teammates to ensure your code is designed, coded, and tuned for optimal performance and maintainability.Agile Practices: Engage in Agile engineering practices and contribute to iterative, high-impact projects.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.At least 3 years of experience in application development (internship experience not applicable).1+ years of experience working with big data technologies.Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience in application development, including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.2+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools like MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL.2+ years of experience with real-time data and streaming applications.2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).2+ years of data warehousing experience with Databricks or Snowflake.3+ years of experience working with UNIX/Linux, including shell scripting.2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.Salary & Benefits:Salary Range:Remote (All Locations): $144,200 – $164,600Richmond, VA: $144,200 – $164,600This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.Benefits Package: Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial, and other benefits to support your total well-being.Note: At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
