Reports To: Preschool Director or Lead Teacher
Location: Preschool or Early Childhood Education Center🧒 Primary Responsibilities
- Lead engaging sing-alongs and musical activities for children ages 2–5
- Introduce basic musical concepts such as rhythm, pitch, and melody
- Use instruments, movement, and storytelling to enhance musical experiences
- Foster creativity, confidence, and social interaction through music
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate music into the broader curriculum
- Prepare and perform songs for seasonal events, celebrations, and parent showcases
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing musical environment
🎼 Skills & Qualifications
- Strong vocal ability and stage presence suitable for young audiences
- Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate music techniques
- Ability to play basic instruments (e.g., guitar, keyboard, percussion) is a plus
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a playful spirit
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Experience in preschool or music education preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification may be required depending on the setting
📚 Education & Desired Experience
- Degree or coursework in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field
- Prior experience performing or teaching music to young children
- Familiarity with diverse musical genres and cultural songs
Expected salary: $19 – 20 per hour
