Job description: We are a partnered with a leading Fire Protection Contractor in the Region who specializes in the design, installation, and service of fire sprinkler and alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and residential facilities. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and client service, they are seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join their growing design team.Sprinkler Designer Key Responsibilities:
- Design fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit in compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material submittals
- Review architectural and MEP drawings to coordinate sprinkler system layouts
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs
- Submit and track plan approvals with AHJs and building departments
- Maintain organized project documentation throughout the design and permitting process
Sprinkler Designer Qualifications:
- NICET Level III certification in Water-Based Systems Layout (required)
- 5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Hydratec, Revit, or similar design software
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, building codes, and fire protection system components
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience with BIM coordination is a plus
