~ $25$50/hour DOE | Relocation Assistance Available (East of the Mississippi)A well-established and respected fire protection contractor is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to create code-compliant fire protection system layouts for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This is a high-impact, full-time position based in Greenville, SC, with a compressed work schedule and a strong pipeline of work.This is a full-time, onsite position based in Greenville, SC.Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates within the Eastern U.S. This is not a remote or hybrid role.Key Responsibilities:
- Design sprinkler systems using HydraCAD and AutoCAD, adhering to NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and other applicable codes
- Develop detailed layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material takeoffs
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP plans to ensure seamless design integration
- Communicate with AHJs, clients, contractors, and installation teams
- Assist with submittals, permitting, and approvals
- Revise drawings as required throughout construction and post-installation
- Stay current with code updates and industry trends
Qualifications:
- ~ 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection design principles
- Proficient in HydraCAD and AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret technical and construction drawings
- NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout (preferred)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and 7-year background check
