As a Freelance Teleprompter Operator, you will work on a team to move a show from inception to closing. You have great organizational skills and can effortlessly adjust to the constant changes in a live studio environment.You will be offered the following shift: Weekends from 4am-12pm and additional shifts as needed. (Subject to Change)A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESOperate the teleprompter during live events and filmingWork with on-air talent with different speech patternsMatch the information on the screen with what is occurring on the setEnsure the working condition of teleprompter system before live programming beginsInform computer specialists if any problems are found, arrange another system as reserveCreate and/or update show notes in a shared document for departmental guidanceWHAT YOU WILL NEEDBachelor’s degree in TV production, media, journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experienceFamiliarity with the dynamics of a live studio environment0 to 2 years’ experience with appropriate internship experienceA strong interest in televisionExperience with prompter systems and softwareWillingness to work weekends, overnights and holidaysAbility to work in highly distracting settings and under considerable pressureWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
