- Perform early analysis of enhancement or project requests from the business to understand goals, define scope, and provide insight to the PMO and Application Development leaders, enabling decisions on next steps.
- Analyze and document business requirements, transferring knowledge to the development team.
- Creates functional designs across applications
- Effectively understand, analyze, and collect nonfunctional requirements.
Documentation
- Experience in creating accurate and detailed Functional User Requirements Specifications, Technical Systems Requirement Specifications, Use Cases, Workflows, Context and Activity Diagrams
- Author Product Backlog items with crisp Acceptance Criteria
Communication and Coordination
- Communicate effectively with external clients, vendors, and internal teams (including onsite and offshore) to deliver functional requirements.
- Collaborate with business leaders to define effective workarounds when needed.
- Work closely with project managers, development team managers, development and QA team members, and business product owners.
Testing
- Assist in test case design, including planning for data setup, writing test cases, establishing acceptance criteria, and executing testing as required.
- Leading coordination of User Acceptance Testing with business users/product owners.
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experiences:
- 10 + years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst, supporting back-office applications
- Model As-Is and To-Be business processes using standard methodologies (UML, BPMN, IDEF0, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).Ability to extract, interpret, and translate business requirements
- Ability to analyze and document complex business processes and visualize data flows
- Experience in internal application development and external product implementations
- Knowledge of ERP systems, Peoplesoft Finance, HCM applications, and Workday required
- Understanding UML, BPMN, IDEF0 modeling; skilled in ERD, DFD, and data mapping.
- Experience with Azure DevOps is desired.
- Staffing industry expertise is preferred.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite
- Understanding of SDLC and Project Management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile)
