Job description: We are Recruiting on Purpose an experienced Electrical Substation CAD Designer for a Remote Position.The ideal candidate is self-motivated and team-oriented and proficient with AutoCAD Electrical. The CAD Designer works alongside engineers designing and drafting high voltage electrical substations, primarily from 46 to 500 kV. Candidate must be a responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual.Our firm was built by cultivating long-term relationships based on exemplary service and integrity. Candidates should be like-minded in that regard, willing to go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations.Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft® Office 365
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact and work comfortably with clients and associates of various backgrounds and abilities
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to efficiently manage time with a minimum of supervision
- Service-oriented attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and project planning skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Two-year degree from an accredited university
- Experience with designing in CAD of protection and controls of electrical substations
- Experience working with investor-owned utilities.
- Familiarity with MicroStation
The CAD Designer may be asked to work extended hours occasionally in order to meet project deadlines.
