Type: Full-time, Direct Hire Were partnering with a respected, multidisciplinary architectural and engineering firm to find an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their growing team.
This is a tight-knit firm of ~50 employees offering stability, longevity, and a rewarding work culture. They specialize in hospitality, education, and other commercial projects (hotels, schools, etc.). If you thrive in a collaborative A/E environment and enjoy wearing multiple hats, this could be the perfect fit. What You’ll Do:
- Design and draft electrical power, lighting, and low voltage plans for permitting and client review.
- Perform load calculations on branch circuits and panelboards, and size conductors per NEC.
- Conduct preliminary site walk-throughs to verify field conditions.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams: architectural, structural, mechanical, interior design.
- Respond to RFIs and assist with construction administration tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 2 years of experience designing power, lighting, and low voltage systems for commercial buildings.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (90% of work is done in AutoCAD no CAD support on staff).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to self-manage and thrive in a collaborative A/E environment.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with Revit, COMCheck, and Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with hospitality and educational project workflows.
