Job description: Program Development & Homologation: Outline strategy and engineering targets, timelines, and deliverables for future Ford Performance sportscar programs. Lead Homologation process for new programs, ensuring accurate documentation, and alignment with category and series rules and requirements Work with existing partners, race teams, and customers to collect feedback on current programs, translating real-world insights into actionable engineering feedback for future vehicle design, development, and homologation. Develop and implement tools and processes to streamline and enhance the efficiency of vehicle development, testing, and homologation workflows for engineering teams and external partners. Support engineering development and testing activities as required. Develop and manage strong relationships with racing teams, series organizers, and key stakeholders to expand Ford Performance motorsports presence. Provide program management support, ensuring strategic alignment of activities with future product launches and homologation timelines. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in a professional motorsports environment Detail oriented self-starter and problem solver Possess a competitive spirit and interest in professional motorsports Possess a practical knowledge of race cars and sportscar competition Strong leader with effective communication skills Positive team player, ability to work with multiple suppliers, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with high responsibility Flexibility and willingness for extensive travel, including weekends Must hold or be eligible for a passport; International and Domestic travel will be required Must be located out of Dearborn, MI or Concord, NC Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field Vehicle development experience in vehicle dynamics or powertrain systems Experience using logged data to improve track performance Experience using Bosch Motorsport, Motec, Cosworth hardware and software Experience setting up vehicle instrumentation Knowledge and experience with GPIRS and Ariba/Aurora For more information on salary and benefits, click here: https://fordcareers.co/LL6SP1 Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
