Day porters are responsible for making sure a company facility looks neat and presentable to the public. They help uphold the image of a facility by performing basic maintenance tasks including trash removal, front lobby support, restocking bathrooms and responding to all cleaning emergencies.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Empties regular waste and Bio-Waste receptacles and takes the trash to the designated area.
- Disinfects common areas and high touch surfaces such as light switches, door handles, drinking fountains
- Cleans and sanitizes clean chairs, tables, check-in device, countertops, sinks, exterior of refrigerators, water coolers, exterior of cabinets, chairs, and tables
- Cleans and sanitizes all restroom fixtures, clean mirrors, partitions walls, wipe all counters
- Spot cleans walls, light switches, glass, and doors
- Dusts low areas and high areas which are within normal reach
- Dustmops all hard surface floors with treated dust mop
- Wet mops entire areas as needed
- Perimeter sweeps for trash pick up
- Restocks consumable supplies
- Maintains cleaning supplies stock and requests weekly replenishment orders
- Monitors, reports, and documents quality of 3rd party custodial support vendors
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle a variety of duties simultaneously and prioritize work
Education and Experience:
- 1 year experience in a similar role
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching low or overhead
