Job description: What You’ll Do:
- Provides instruction in business office education (e.g., typing, general business) and individual assistance
- Assesses educational needs of inmates
- Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training
- Provides instruction and individual assistance
- Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators
- Maintains discipline and/or security
- Counsels’ students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems.
- Attends meetings as required
- Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress)
- Inventories and orders supply and materials needed
- Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials.
- Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned
QualificationsMust meet eligibility requirements for Teacher Certificate/License appropriate for career-tech administrative office tech & grade level as assigned*; Teacher 1, 71371, must also have baccalaureate degree or less per OEA agreement.
