This key role is focused on expanding IW’s footprint with technology-centered solutions within the Department of Defense (DoD) market to deliver network engineering, cybersecurity, secure communications, analytics. Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Leadership to refine the division strategy and shape a balanced portfolio.
Drive cyber and IT modernization initiatives across 4th Estate agencies, with a focus on Zero Trust architecture, cloud adoption, and enclave security strategies.Utilize OASIS+ and GSA MAS contract vehicles to pursue both full-and-open and small-business-led task orders.Build and maintain relationships with DISA PEOs, DHA PMOs, and DLA J6 stakeholders to influence and position for upcoming opportunities, including as a subcontractor on DLA JETS 2.0.Identify and pursue HACS SIN-aligned opportunities across 4th Estate components to expand cybersecurity mission support. * Lead and participate in the identification, qualification, and pursuit of strategic business opportunities.
- Assign and optimize BD and capture resources amongst competing priorities.
- Collaborate across the organization to bring best-in-class solutions to the customer and maximize win probability.
- Seek and utilize market intelligence and competitor data to position the division for ensuring success.
- Build Strategies that respond to changes in government priorities, budgets and requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government decision-makers, contracting offices and key stakeholders.
- Conduct customer visits and articulate current and emerging customer needs and requirements.
- Actively participate in capture activities, to include opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration and workshop sessions, proposal reviews, and business-case development
- Drive the development and submission of white papers and RFI responses to proactively shape strategic opportunities.
- Develop marketing and B&P budgets and execute BD plans within those approved budgets.
- Own and conduct monthly detailed pipeline reviews with Senior leadership.
- Attend trade shows and execute customer call plans post-trade shows.
- Documents all business development activity and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of related experience selling services/business development is a strong desire.
- Hands-on experience delivering Enterprise IT, Network Engineering and Operations, Cybersecurity, and/or DevSecOps capabilities within the Department of the Air Force (strongly preferred), with additional value placed on experience supporting the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or 4th Estate agencies such as DISA, DHA, DARPA, DTRA, WHS.
- Demonstrable win rate over the last 3-5 years.
- Hands-on experience leading federal business identification and capture of deals ranging from Task Orders of $5M-10M, to Full and Open deals of $50M+ as well as set-aside and JV-based deals.
- Proven experience in business development, capture management and proposal response specifically within the DoD services, cybersecurity, and communications markets.
- Strong expertise with relationship-building, contract mechanism usage, and proposal management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different functional areas.
- Ability to travel for prospect/client meetings, conferences, tradeshows, symposia
