- Ensure system uptime by responding promptly to IT issues and service requests.
- Install, configure, and maintain computing equipment in the manufacturing facility.
- Coordinate office IT installations and maintenance with the corporate service center.
- Oversee maintenance and support for local PCs and peripheral devices.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, including:
- Desktop and laptop computers
- Printers, copiers, and plotters
- Network infrastructure
- Specialized technology used in wood truss and wall panel manufacturing
- Perform software installations and updates as required.
- Liaise with third-party service providers for equipment servicing and support.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to appropriate internal or external support teams.
- Collaborate effectively with team members on all assignments.
- Diagnose and resolve system errors and technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
- Communicate regularly with management to report issue status, resolutions, and system health.
- Document all support activities in the corporate helpdesk system with detailed notes and communication logs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the IT Manager or Facility Director.
- Work on-site five days a week, with occasional weekend support as needed.
Required Education
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Professional IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft MCP/MCSA, CompTIA A+/Network+) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems required.
Required Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of, or ability to learn, MiTek’s suite of applications.
- Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve technical problems.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Willingness to provide support during weekends and non-business hours as needed.
- Flexibility to take on projects outside of regular duties.
- Ability to routinely lift 20–25 lbs and occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.
