Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division is the North American market leader in the production of passenger coaches, locomotives, and light rail vehicles.Position Overview:Join our team as a Factory Commissioning Test Operator, where you’ll play a hands-on role in launching the next generation of light rail vehicles, locomotives, and coaches. You’ll be responsible for commissioning, diagnosing, and resolving issues across complex systems—including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components.What your day-to-day will look like:
- Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on locomotive and coach cars
- Troubleshoot, document and repair electrical and mechanical failures
- Work with state-of-the-art diagnostic test equipment.
- Understand and comply with company and industry safety standards.
- Communicate with others, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, and other work-related information.
- Have ability to work independently and among a team with multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
- Read, interpret and understand written or electronic schematics.
- Use PTU’s to troubleshoot various systems onboard rail vehicles.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- High school diploma (or GED)
- 2+ years experience in electrical testing
- Must be proficient in electrical & mechanical troubleshooting

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $40,200 – $47,100. **The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.You should be proficient in:
