This posting represents different full-time roles across the Meta company.Product Designer, Reality Labs ResponsibilitiesLeads and delivers design projects of large and/or ambiguous scopeTake broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our 2 billion+ usersDesign flows and experiences that simplify and distill down complex actions into usable interfacesDesign new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systemsContribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of FB productsGive and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorshipLead a partnership with product managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launchMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field6+ years of experience designing complex software products, end to end, with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design that meet business objectivesExperience conducting complex research studies and drives business growth through design-led innovationExperience leading end-to-end development efforts, drives progress with Cross Functional Partner (XFN) teams, develops design roadmaps, and makes high-impact decisions balancing user needs with business growth objectivesExpertise in advanced prototyping techniques, such as creating functional prototypes or using emerging technologiesPreferred QualificationsProven track record of leading the design of complex products for virtual, augmented, mixed reality, and other emerging technologiesDemonstrated experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders such as User Research, Engineering, and Product ManagementAdvanced skills in prototyping 3D interactions or interfaces using Unity and other industry-leading toolsExpertise in designing and implementing novel user inputs such as hand or eye trackingExperience driving the design of products for developers and/or creators, with a focus on scalability and platformizationFor those who live in or expect to work from California if hired for this position, please click for additional information.About MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
