Job description: Looking for an Electrical (Or MEP) Estimator to join Boston’s most recognized General Contractor!The Electrical Estimator will:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using estimating software and manual methods.
- Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
- Develop detailed proposals and bid packages for submission to clients and general contractors.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure alignment on scopes and budgets.
- Maintain cost databases and historical records to support future estimates.Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions.
- Review and analyze RFI responses, addendums, and revisions to ensure updated pricing.
- Support change order pricing, value engineering, and budget reviews during project execution.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating or a related construction role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and installation methods.
- Proficiency in estimating software (such as Accubid, ConEst, Trimble, or Bluebeam).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with local labor rates, material pricing, and construction market trends.
