Job description: Develop hardware and system requirements for various subsystems and components, ensuring traceability from high-level features to hardware implementation specifications. Contribute to the development and validation of electrical architecture, performing trade studies to realize efficient design strategies, and optimize for cost, mass, performance, and serviceability. Work cross-functionally with component owners across the organization to drive optimal electrical system designs that satisfy electrical architecture requirements Review and approve test plans and results to ensure low voltage interface compatibility and component requirement compliance Own electrical subsystem interfaces, collaborating with hardware and EDS teams to ensure accurate logical and physical implementation and seamless integration Utilize MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) to manage and maintain requirements database for low voltage hardware systems from concept through development Lead and manage integration of initial prototype systems including bring-up, debug, and engineering test of prototype bucks, labcars, and vehicles B.S in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 8+ years of experience with low voltage systems design, development, and integration Highly skilled in using analytical tools such as MATLAB-Simulink, PSIM, LT-Spice, and similar tools to perform system simulations Highly skilled in low voltage systems development, electric vehicle’s system architecture, functional safety, and component level integration planning Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to automotive concepts Proven debugging and diagnostic skills in electrical, mechanical, and software domains An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement Master’s Degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields 10+ years of experience in using advanced analytical tools to perform component level and system level simulations Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, etc.) Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
