
Job title: Senior Electrical Integration Engineer, Body Electronics

Job description: Develop component hardware specifications for wiper motors, washer pumps, steering column control modules, heating elements, and related ECUs, collaborating with device owners and supply chain to source components Drive electrical architectural direction and decision-making for body electronics subsystems, performing trade studies to optimize for cost and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver and maintain robust body electronics subsystem boundary and block diagrams Define, develop, and integrate body electronics features and functions, decomposing user stories and functional safety goals into system requirements Develop and mature functional specifications for body electronics systems, ensuring alignment with overall vehicle homologation and regulatory requirements. Lead network interface development for networked components, collaborating with software and systems team to deliver network artifacts Own and approve Device Transmittals for body electronics components, ensuring logical schematics and hardware interfaces are designed to meet all component requirements Lead and manage integration of initial prototype systems including bring-up, debug, and engineering test of prototype bucks, labcars, and vehicles Established and active employee resource groups B.S in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 6+ years of experience working on complex electrical systems or electronics designs Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to automotive concepts Proven debugging and diagnostic skills in electrical, mechanical, and software domains Highly skilled in low voltage systems development, electric vehicle system architecture, functional safety, and component level integration planning Experience with requirements capture in requirements management software platforms (JAMA, etc.) Experience with creating and modifying network interface description files Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement Master’s Degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, etc.) Experience with designing and integrating automotive body systems from concept through proudction launch Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) Experience with electrical / electro-mechanical devices involving networked microcontrollers and embedded software Experience with creating and modifying network interface description files is a plus
