Job description: About the jobObjective: We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Legal Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in legal support, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced law firm. This role offers an opportunity to leverage strong interpersonal and technical skills to contribute to the efficiency and success of the firm.Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update calendars, including entering critical deadlines in MS Outlook.
- Finalize pleadings, letters, motions, and other legal documents using MS Word.
- Revise, format, and prepare legal documents and exhibits for electronic filing in federal and state courts.
- Provide administrative support for litigation tasks, including court filings, scheduling depositions, client communications, etc.
- Enter attorney timecard entries into the firm’s billing software (Prolaw/Elite).
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of attorneys’ American Express expenses and provide backup support for expense entries.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar administrative role in a legal field.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and take ownership of responsibilities in a high-pressure environment.
- Professional demeanor and courteous interaction with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Prolaw software is helpful.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
