This is a unique opportunity to advance your career with a growing water resources practice focusing on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Studies, Watershed Modeling, Flood Mitigation, Stormwater Studies and Application Development.Your Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tasks for a variety of water resources projects including dams, levee systems, watershed and floodplain studies and stormwater systemsAssist in FEMA Risk Map studiesAssist in United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) analysesEffectively convey project work, schedules and results verbally, in emails, and in technical documentsConduct field investigations on various projects including but not limited to: dam inspections, H&H evaluations, and levee inspectionsPresent project information at client and community meetingsYour Capabilities and CredentialsHas well-developed understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and conveyance engineering design.Experience with model-build, calibration and verification; needs and alternative assessments, evaluation and defensible solution development.Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agenciesPrior experience performing engineering calculationsPrior experience writing technical documentsPossesses excellent time management skillsAbility to effectively discuss project issues with project teamAbility to learn independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPresentation and interview skills Preferred Additional Capabilities:Engineering Software experience: o USACE HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), USACE HEC-HMS, and USACE HEC-DSSVue o EPA-SWMM and/or PC-SWMM o ESRI ArcProAdvanced GIS experience such as Model Builder, Python, and advanced analysis toolsExperience with programming languages such as C++Education and ExperienceBS or MS degree in applicable engineering discipline required3+ years’ experienceTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
