- Leading a team of AI Factory engineers to set priorities and execute work within the team vision
- Collaborating with a diverse team of data engineers, AI/ML developers, full stack developers, MLOps teams, and product managers to drive project success
- Providing technical expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and full stack engineering to guide the team and inform decision-making
- Developing and implementing strategies to drive innovation and growth within the AI Factory team
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning within the team

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field: A degree in a relevant field is required, with a focus on computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in AI/ML or software engineering: Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI and machine learning models, with a strong understanding of AI engineering principles and practices.
- 3+ years of leadership experience: Demonstrated leadership experience in managing high-performing teams, with a focus on AI engineering, software development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of AI platforms and architectures: Experience with Kubernetes, AI platforms, architectures, and frameworks, including cloud-based solutions and containerization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
Desired skills
- Experience AI Engineering dicipline and familiarity with Lockheed Martin’s AI initiatives
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab)
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization
- Experience with large language models, natural language processing, computer vision, or other AI applications
- Familiarity with model interpretability, explainability, and transparency
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the aerospace and defense industry
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions
