If you are excited about a role but don’t meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Business Excellence Technician 5 located in Columbia, SC.Reporting to the Business Excellence Manager the Business Excellence Technician 5 role is responsible for continuously driving a culture of excellence in the organization, coaching and enabling waste removal activities using lean and six sigma approaches and tools and guiding actions to a sustainable conclusion.What a typical day looks like:
- Support lean and six sigma activities as defined in the GBE A3.
- Support in designing and building workstations, supermarket racks, benches, trolleys etc.
- Familiar with and able to use Moonshine tools and machines effectively.
- Ensure good 5S in the work area.
- Implement identified Best practices timely.
- Prepare and upload completed kaizen projects in the BE on-line Systems.
- Maintain and update various indicators on the lean gallery and other defined locations.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires previous experience in lean manufacturing and 5s culture.
- Office skills: Telephone skills, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
