- Lead process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities to create, control, and improve end-to-end business processes
- Diagnose process improvement opportunities and investigate non-standard requests and problems
- Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
- Use pertinent data, trends, and facts to identify and solve issues and mitigate risks by developing and implementing innovative solutions
- Develop plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using applicable tools
- Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Prioritize and organize your own work to meet deadlines and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, clear, and concise
- Provide explanation and information to others on topics within area of expertise
- Create quality reporting, analysis, and audits
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of Quality & Change Management (QCM) programs
- Identify process improvement opportunities for the Provider Operations Improvement team to pursue to improve business processes, increase quality and efficiency, and reduce costs

- 2+ years of successful process improvement and project lead / management experience
- 2+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets, and making data-driven analytical decisions
- 2+ years of experience in writing business and / or system requirements and business finance analysis
- 2+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts
- Moderate to advanced MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills
- Moderate to advanced skills with statistical tools such as Six Sigma Assistant, Minitab, etc.
- Proven excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Proven excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with ability to balance multiple priorities
- Proven solid ability to partner with cross-functional teams and ability to effectively facilitate meetings (often with senior leadership) and influence without authority
- Proven ability to work independently and with minimal guidance while still supporting the team as a whole
- 0-10% travel in the USA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and experience or Black Belt training and experience
- 2+ years of Provider Data Operations experience / background
- Value-Based Care knowledge / experience
- Knowledge / experience in the application of AI (Artificial Intelligence) to improve processes
- Health care industry experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
