Since 1898, they helped customers complete more than 25,000 projects in 160 countries on all seven continents that have created jobs, grown economies, improved the resiliency of the world’s infrastructure, increased access to energy, resources, and vital services, and made the world a safer, cleaner place.Job Title: Senior Offshore pipeline engineerLocation: Houston, TX, 77001Duration: 6+ MonthsJob Type: ContractWork Type: OnsiteJOB DESCRIPTION:Position Summary:Prepare offshore pipeline design and installation specificationsPrepare pipeline drawings and alignment sheetsPerform pipeline design and installation analysisPreparation of SOW for pipeline installation, pre and post lay interventions, pipe and coating supplyPrepare SOW for pipe supply including corrosion and weight coatingVerification of pipeline contractors analysis for pipeline installation, pre and post lay intervention, pre-commissioningPrepares specifications, data sheets, material requisitions and bid evaluationsReview vendor provided data, documentation, and drawingsEvaluates, selects, and applies standard pipeline engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modificationsFamiliar with subsea construction techniques and equipment.Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplinesProvides technical assistance to other pipeline personnel and will interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issuesProvides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project pipeline requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project executionEnsures that engineering is carried out in accordance with the client’s work processes and procedures, project specific procedures, and contractual requirementsEnsures that pipeline design meets industry best practice and complies with pertinent pipeline codes and standards, governing regulations, and industry practicesPrepares or assist in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or bid proposals for pipelinePrepares and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change ordersReviews and checks work of subordinate engineersSupports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfactionSkills and Qualifications:Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the offshore pipelineLifecycle Interface Management between offshore Pipeline and other disciplines including environmental management and operationsFacilitating internal workshops and training related to offshore pipeline scopeManaging day to day activities of design consultants including independent verification of their workSite Engineering support during offshore pipeline procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioningExtensive knowledge and familiarity with DNV pipeline design and construction codes and standardsKnowledge and use of standard pipeline analysis softwareExperience in design and construction of conventional and trenchless shore crossingsDirect field experience onboard pipeline installation vesselsSkill in oral and written communication to prepare reports and other documentation.Possesses either a recognized degree in engineering from an accredited college or university (or international equivalent) and a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experienceRegistered as a Professional Engineer in Texas or other state or country is preferred or a Professional Engineering-in -Training (EIT) license from a recognized licensing boardTekWissen Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
