Job description: Position DescriptionPerforms responsible supervisory and patrol work involving the security of University property or may be assigned specifically to detective investigative work. Usual duties involve the active supervision of the police personnel assigned to the Sergeant on a rotating shift. When specially assigned, a detective in this classification performs follow up investigations of crimes, presents crime prevention educational programs, and maintains contacts with other law enforcement, campus and community entities.
