Job description: DESCRIPTIONAmazon’s Internal Corporate Communications (ICC) creates content and experiences that inform, inspire, and connect Amazonians to each other and our future. Within ICC, the Creative Studio specializes in visual storytelling for employee communications. We’re seeking a versatile visual storyteller to join our Creative Studio team, someone who can bring our messages to life through both static graphics and dynamic motion and video, helping us connect with our diverse global audience.As a Designer, Motion & Video Lead within ICC’s Creative Studio, you’ll balance strong foundational design skills with specialized motion expertise to help us deliver compelling visual narratives. You’ll create everything from polished static designs for everyday communications to motion pieces that transform complex ideas into engaging visual stories. Whether designing infographics for articles, creating animated social content, producing videos for All-Hands meetings, or developing motion graphics for digital signage, your visual thinking will enhance our storytelling across multiple platforms. You’ll bring creativity to both day-to-day design needs and innovative motion projects, exploring new approaches while maintaining brand alignment.Key job responsibilities

A day in the life
No two days look alike in this role. You’ll regularly shift between creating static graphics and developing motion content. Your morning might involve designing assets for A to Z News stories or digital screens throughout our offices. By afternoon, you could be animating assets for an All-Amazon Global Meeting viewed by hundreds of thousands of employees worldwide. You’ll balance quick-turn design requests with longer-term projects, applying your versatile skills to help information visually resonate with Amazonians globally.About the team
Internal Corporate Communications operates as Amazon’s central source for internal company news and events, reaching a global audience of corporate employees. Within this team, the Creative Studio drives visual storytelling efforts, translating complex information into engaging visual content. Our team develops and delivers visual communications that help employees understand Amazon’s business, culture, and workplace. The Creative Studio is currently evolving how we use motion and video to tell stories more effectively, and your role will be central to this effort. You’ll help us develop more dynamic, engaging visual content that resonates with employees across digital platforms and live events.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 5+ years of design experience with demonstrated skills in both static graphics and motion/video
– Bachelor’s degree in Design, Animation, or equivalent practical experience
– Online portfolio showcasing recent work (past 1-2 years) demonstrating both graphic design fundamentals and motion capabilities
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
– Experience with Adobe After Effects and Premiere for animations, motion graphics and video editing
– Experience applying design principles, typography, and visual storytelling concepts
– Experience managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments with tight deadlinesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience with generative AI tools for design and motion graphics
– Experience with UX design principles and practices
– Knowledge of prompt engineering for video and animation workflows
– Experience integrating AI tools into creative production processes
– Experience with internal communications or employee engagement
– Experience with live action video production and camera operation
– Knowledge of live event graphics and production
– Experience working with global teams and stakeholders
– Understanding of corporate brand guidelines and visual systems

The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
