Job description: Position: Journeyman ElectricianDepartment: Loenbro – Industrial ServicesReports To: Electrical Superintendent / Project Manager / Area ManagerLocation: Nebraska (Various sites)Journeyman Electrician:Loenbro Instrumentation & Electrical is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, and who have experience in a heavy industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.Job Duties:
- Assists existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
- Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
- Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
- Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
- Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- The Electrician will follow and perform other instructions and other related duties as set forth by management.
- Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
- Work with and train apprentices on the job.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must be a Nebraska licensed electrician or able to reciprocate.
- Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in instrumentation an industrial electrical system.
- Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls.
- Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

Essential Requirements:
- Working outside the majority of the time with potential exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility and Limited working surfaces.
- Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
- Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
- Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day.
- Use of respirator if position requires.
- Potential or periodic amounts of time for the following:
- Sit, stoop, crawl, stand, and kneel.
- If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability will be required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
