40 hrs. Biweekly – Dayshift – Mon-FriJoin our dynamic Behavioral Health team as a Clinical Educator! We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to lead educational initiatives and staff development in our Behavioral Health Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and a desire to mentor and support clinical staff.Designs, organizes, implements, and evaluates educational programs (orientations, continuing education, and in-services) that facilitate the professional growth, skill development, competency, and attainments of standards of care for direct care providers within the Nursing Department. Adheres to ethical principles of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.Responsibilities:Develop and deliver orientation and ongoing education programs for nursing staffSupport clinical competency, professional development, and best practices in behavioral health careCollaborate with leadership to assess learning needs and improve patient outcomesServe as a clinical resource and role model for staffMinimum Qualifications:Education – BSN required. MSN required-must be obtained within 5 years of start date. Master’s in nursing education preferred.Experience – Minimum of 5 years recent experience in an acute care setting preferably with three of those years in the specialty area.Licensure/Certification – Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland. National Certification in clinical specialty preferred or within one year of eligibility. BLS(CPR) in compliance with policy required. ACLS, PALS, NRP or other certification in compliance with requirements of clinical units supported.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Must have strong computer skills. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relation skills.Caring for Our Team
