Job description: Lewis Honors College seeks candidates for an Associate Director to serve in a leadership role for its Center for Personal Development. The center provides a holistic approach to growth and development as students explore their purpose in life. Staff members work individually with students to identify potential barriers, develop academic, career, and life goals, as well as to implement plans for success. The center provides individual counseling and programs specifically designed for honors students that focus on well-being, leadership development and career readiness.The Associate Director oversees the planning and execution of individual and program offerings among four pillars of content: well-being, leadership development, pre-health/professional school planning, and career readiness. Supporting students as they gain self- awareness and explore their purpose is central to the mission of the center. A variety of assessments are utilized which include:
Indigo, DISC, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, Career Thoughts Inventory, and various other tools that explore student values, interests, personality, skills, and leadership styles. This position plans student assessment and reflection workshops/programs, mentors staff on assessment interpretation and best practices, and manages related vendor relationships and assessment inventory.The position also serves as one of five counselors who meet regularly with a designated subset of honors students. Sessions with students are focused on individualized interpretation of assessments, exploration of career paths, analysis of potential barriers to success, decision-making, connection to internship, graduate school, and career opportunities, and preparation for the transition from college to next steps.Central to success in this position is developing and maintaining relationships with a variety of constituents, including: Lewis Honors College staff and faculty, campus career development teams, and university student support services (such as the counseling center, student health, and student involvement).Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.

Expected salary: $52021 – 85800 per year
