Job description: Your RoleGensler LA is seeking an experienced intermediate Technical Designer. Your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with a focus on project delivery and an understanding how to produce functionally beautiful designs. You will drive delivery of a project, collaborate with office and regional technical leaders and develop delivery and process improvement strategy. With you as part of the design team, architecture has never been so engaging.What You Will DoWork with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and productionResolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutionsProduce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and assist in construction drawingsAssist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordinationContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsYour QualificationsProfessional B.A or M.A. degree in architecture or related field6 – 8 years of related project experience; preferably sports projectsKnowledge of Revit, Adobe Suite, and SketchupOutstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideasKnowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper, Parametric Modeling, a plusFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentAbility to communicate design ideas and direction quicklyA quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentStrong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skillsApplications will not be considered without uploaded portfolio/work samples*The base salary will be estimated between $80,000 – $95,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.Life at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
