Achieving this vision has a direct impact on the relevance of the profession of architecture and the world’s prosperity, health, and future.Job SummaryReporting to the Director, Digital Content, the senior manager will create high-quality, HBR-style content with actionable takeaways tailored to an architect audience.This original content will align with AIA’s primary objectives and reflect its messaging and advocacy goals across various platforms, including AIA.org and the AIA Architect online publication. Serving as the primary point of contact for AIA’s weekly email newsletter, this role ensures content is timely, relevant, engaging, and representative of AIA’s core content topics.The senior manager works closely with the broader MarCom team to meet design and advertising goals and to provide content for AIA’s social media efforts. The senior manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient workflow and coordination between stakeholders and communications team.Job Duties

Qualifications

Ability to multitask with overlapping assignments, multiple deadlines, and shifting priorities. Demonstrated success with turning complex and nuanced copy/content into effective and relatable social media content.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Business, Political Science, Communications, New Media, or related field with 5-7 years of experience working as part of a digital publishing team, as a writer or editor for a professional or trade association, or as a staff writer or editor at a publication or as a freelance writer covering the architecture and design industry.
