Compensation Range: $45 – 50 per hourWe’re seeking a proactive and highly organized Product Development Consultant to support the Product Development team. In this fast-paced, hybrid role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering innovative product formulations and ensuring timely execution of key milestones – with a particular focus on reformulations and, secondarily, new product development.Join a leader in the beauty industry and be part of the legacy of one of its most beloved brands.This is an exciting opportunity for a beauty industry professional who thrives on cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and driving products from concept to shelf.Responsibilities:
- Support the Sr. Manager in driving reformulation projects, including preparing briefs, coordinating with labs, and tracking formula development progress.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Regulatory) to ensure testing and claims support.
- Review and approve artwork, ensuring accuracy and alignment with product specs and brand standards.
- Track project timelines, manage key development milestones, and support product registrations and global market needs.
- Monitor and research ingredient and product trends, assessing strategic relevance for the brand.
- Attend weekly development meetings and provide updates on sampling, formula status, and key approvals.
- Serve as a resource across teams for product, formula, and ingredient inquiries.
- Handle administrative and operational tasks, including purchase orders and sample shipments.
- Provide ad-hoc support for team meetings, presentations, and project prep.
Qualifications:
- A detail-obsessed, organized beauty lover with 3-5 years of product development experience in the beauty industry.
- A natural project manager who thrives on timelines, tracking, and cross-functional collaboration.
- A clear communicator who’s comfortable managing input from multiple stakeholders.
- Curious and trend-aware, always keeping an eye on what’s new and next in beauty.
- Confident working both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word – and a fast learner when it comes to internal systems.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years of beauty industry product development experience.
- Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
