The position will require the detailed review of these same functions as entered by other team members to ensure adherence to department and organizational process controls.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Boarding new loans onto the accounting system
- Processing daily payments and payoffs
- Processing deferments, Note modifications, payoff quotes, and accrual status changes as needed
- Posting daily cash received to the loan accounting system and reconciling to GL
- Reconcile loans and participations to ensure accurate accounting of loans serviced
- Creation and maintenance of reports for management
- Review data entered into the loan accounting system by other team members
- Assist with ad hoc reporting requests and process improvement projects as needed
- Collaborate with loan servicing, loan closing and other related departments to resolve complex issues as they arise
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 3+ years experience in loan accounting or loan servicing preferred
- Experience reviewing and understanding loan documentation as it pertains loan boarding and loan modifications
- Experience in reviewing loan boarding, loan modifications, rate changes and loan payments entered by other team members
- Detail oriented and organized
- Good verbal and written communication
- Ability to analyze data and make clear decisions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products, proficiency in MS Excel highly preferred
- Prior experience with Fiserv Premier (Loan Accounting System)
