What you will typically be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining the laboratory quality control program
- Reviewing laboratory reports for accuracy and completeness
- Preparing quarterly and annual quality assurance reports
- Reviewing and updating laboratory policies and procedures
- Providing technical consultation for laboratory testing protocols
- Reviewing QC logs weekly for sections assigned to oversight
- Performing evaluations and competencies for staff
- Conducting administrative functions to include payroll, counseling, and HR requests

- Experience in general laboratory processes and testing procedures
- Understanding counseling and clinical laboratory competency assessments
- Knowledge of the Joint Commission Survey accreditation process
- Knowledge of validating laboratory analyzers and lab protocol testing procedure development
- Quality assurance and quality improvement experience
- Understanding of CLIA and CMS testing requirements
