Job description: Job DescriptionElectrical DesignerWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating sub-panels and doors layout by placing electrical components using SolidWorks Electrical (SWE) and doing mating and association on mechanical sub-assemblies models. You will create and finalize construction drawings, including wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and point-to-point wiring, while coordinating with the electrical engineer for conduit, wireway, and cable tray runs. You will process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) with urgency to ensure timely shipments, operate independently, and collaborate closely with the electrical engineer to finalize construction drawings packages, minimizing gaps/issues and improving quality for manufacturing/testing. You will also support the manufacturing package based on the front-end engineering release of customer drawings.Responsibilities
- Create sub-panels and doors layout by placing electrical components using SWE and mating/associating on mechanical sub-assemblies models.
- Create and finalize construction drawings, including wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and point-to-point wiring.
- Coordinate with the electrical engineer for conduit, wireway, and cable tray runs.
- Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) promptly to ensure on-time shipments.
- Operate independently and collaborate closely with the electrical engineer to finalize construction drawings packages, minimizing gaps/issues and improving quality for manufacturing/testing.
- Support the backend electrical engineering team in manufacturing packages based on the front-end engineering release of customer drawings.
Essential Skills
- Experience in control schematics, electrical design, and medium voltage.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical (SWE) and SWM 3D software.
- 1-3 years of experience in electromechanical design, including layouts of sub-panels and doors on switchgear products.
- Understanding of one-line, three-line, and control schematics.
- Working knowledge of PDM Tool and releasing electrical parts using PDM data card.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
- Desire to learn about new technology
