Job description: We are hiring an experienced Instrument & Controls Designer for a dynamic role supporting cutting-edge projects in semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, and other advanced industrial facilities. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity in Manassas, VA with strong potential for long-term growth.Pay: $43.80 $76.63/hr
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Location: Onsite only no remote optionWhat Youll Do:
- Develop and revise P&ID diagrams using ANSI/ISA standards
- Design control panels, layout diagrams, and I/O wiring schematics
- Specify instrumentation and control valves (including valve sizing)
- Interpret and write industrial sequence of operations (SOO)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support junior designers
- Respond to RFIs and review construction submittals
What You Need:
- AAS in Electronics or Instrumentation
- 10+ years of I&C design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of PLC/SCADA systems
- Familiarity with industrial automation, networks, and panel design
- Experience in semiconductor or general industrial facilities a plus
