We manage a diverse range of legal matters reflecting the complex needs of a large urban school district.Job Summary:Reporting to the Executive Director for the Office of Administrative Hearings, this position supports the critical functions of both the Legal Investigations Unit (LIU) and the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH). LIU is responsible for investigating employee misconduct and related incidents reported to CPS. The Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) ensures compliance with legal and contractual requirements through the administration of employee grievances, collective bargaining agreements, Board policies, and employee discipline, including managing discipline hearings and investigating union grievances.The Administrative Assistant will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:

Conditions of Employment:As a condition of employment with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), employees are required to:Establish/Maintain Chicago Residency – Employees are required to live within the geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of their CPS hire date and maintain residency throughout their employment with the district.
