We are APS, and we are a workforce partner for our clients.We are on the grow again and searching for a Business Analyst. The Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating the design and implementation of data reporting and integrations. In addition, the Business Analyst will have an overall objective of identifying commonalities in customer/partner needs, and subsequently driving the vision, prioritization, and long-term execution of scalable and reusable solutions to meet aforementioned needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consult with interested customers and partners to determine data reporting and integration requests.
- Exercise judgment to determine how best to provide solutions to the requests.
- Direct the engineering team on the prioritization, design, and implementation of request deliverables.
- Identify commonalities with data reporting and integration requests, in an effort to craft purpose-built solutions to solve requests.
- Identify, prioritize, and pursue opportunities to develop strategic relationships and integrations with partners and vendors.
- Create and maintain a roadmap of strategic opportunities with partners and vendors.
- Contribute to and execute the vision for the purpose-built solutions.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with the engineering team to deliver valuable solutions to users.
- Ability to see the big picture – track overall market and competitive dynamics.
- Act as intermediary between the market and engineering, advocating for the needs of the customers and partners, and turning the customer needs into reality.
- Build strong relationships with customer-facing teams and partners.
- Other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: NARequirementsEducation, Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The list below is representative of the qualifications, skills, and abilities required and preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher – or the equivalent, preferably in relevant technical fields such as Computer Science, Analytics, etc.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar, preferably in a B2B SaaS Agile software development environment.
- Experience in vendor/partner relationship development and management is highly preferred.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and related technologies is highly preferred.
- Background and/or experience with payroll, HRIS, accounting, or related industries is preferred.
- Strong sense of empathy for users.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with internal and external audiences, adapting to both technical and non-technical audiences with ease.
- Ability to think both creatively and critically, drawing insights from observations, and validating hypotheses based on data.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong planning and organizing skills – able to see the big picture and manage details.
- High degree of both technical expertise and business acumen.
- Ability to work with people and work as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in an environment in which constant deadlines exist.
- Must be able to work the hours necessary to successfully perform in this position.
- Must understand all company guidelines, procedures, and workflow.
