Business Office Float Registration at Baylor Surgicare at CarrolltonThis role will support various business office functions, including insurance verification, patient registration, scheduling, and billing, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, is adaptable to changing priorities, and enjoys working collaboratively with both patients and staff.
- Assist with patient registration, insurance verification, and authorizations.
- Support scheduling, front desk reception, and patient check-in/check-out processes.
- Process billing and payments, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
- Communicate with patients regarding insurance benefits, financial responsibilities, and payment options.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Follow up on outstanding authorizations, claims, and patient balances.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Provide backup support for other business office functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of insurance verification, authorizations, and medical billing procedures.
- Knowledge of payer guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and insurance verification tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in healthcare administration, insurance verification, billing, or front desk operations preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
