Job description: Software Engineer, Control Systems (Remote)We are seeking a Software Engineer, Control Systems for a global quantum computing company. You will develop control software for photonic quantum computers using Rust/C++. This is a great opportunity for a software engineer who wants to work on leading edge technology in a greenfield development environment.This is a 12-month contract (extensions or conversion to FTE possible), 40 hr/week remote role.This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement software for control of photonic quantum computers in Rust / C++.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Testing and maintenance of control software.
- Serve as an exemplar of good software development practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software programming experience with Rust or C++ for control systems
- Experience coding / problem solving / synchronization between SW and HW.
- Experience with distributed systems
- Experience with the development of control system software for Quantum computing, HPC, robotics, networking, or other hardware products
- Experience interfacing with ASICs and/or FPGAs in complex/high-performance systems or an edge-computing context
- Comfortable working with greenfield software development
- Experience with Nix
- Bachelors degree
