Job description: Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer with experience in machine design and machining practices to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks, and a strong understanding of electrical components, motor sizing, and bearing sizing/fits.Responsibilities
- Design machinery and ensure familiarity with machining practices.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks for design work.
- Understand and apply knowledge of electrical components, motor sizing, and bearing sizing/fits.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure seamless integration of designs.
- Provide technical support and guidance during equipment startup and evaluation phases.
- Possibility for some field work on equipment startups and evaluations, though not immediately.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (2-year) or Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
