Job description: We are recruiting for an Automation/Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing setting, this non-union facility employees roughly 925 employees and has $50M in capital projects planned.This role will:
- Design, implement, and maintain electrical, automation, MES, and digital systems.;
- Manage capital project life cycle from conception to implementation, including procurement, programming, and commissioning activities.
- Trouble-shoot issues on the manufacturing floor as necessary.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians within assigned business unit.
Candidates Should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related field
- 5+ years’ experience with Electrical/Automation Engineering in a manufacturing setting, including capital project management
- Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems (low, medium and high voltage installations); electrical codes and standards; Instrumentation and Calibration process
- Strong familiarity with automation systems and equipment: (HMI – Human-Machine Interface, PLC – Programmable Logic Controller, Industrial networks, etc.) and Digital technologies implementation (e.g. Vision Systems, Data Analytics, Predictive Maintenance, etc.)
- Project Management Professional certification (PMP) and/or Professional Engineer license (P.E.) is a plus
