Job description: An intimate development team with utility-scale solar, storage and wind projects looking to expand their team for upcoming projects in the central US region. Leading projects from inception through to construction will be valuable to learn and execute on.Seeking an Development Associate to be responsible for:
- Support project development of utility scale solar assets from site origination through financial close/start of construction.
- Site diligence and permitting in MISO and ERCOT.
- Negotiate lease agreements and purchase option agreements
- Manage local community relationships through design and financing to secure additional support as needed for road use agreements, zoning support, and property tax incentives.
- Manage internal and external resources (engineering, finance, legal, environmental, etc) to successfully develop projects.
- Maintain an overview of the relevant business and competitive environment, including regulatory and environmental rules.

- 2+ years of experience in the development of renewable energy projects – preferably solar + storage.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Impressive track record and experience in development of renewable energy projects
- Previous applicable experience working in a commercial negotiation environment
- Strong interpersonal skills – able to work and communicate effectively with a cross-functional internal team, vendors, consultants, various project stakeholders, authorities having legal control, utilities, state agencies etc.
