Job description: Work involves performing a wide variety of duties related to routine to moderately confidential and complex duties. This position is responsible for creating, maintaining and executing comprehensive communications & marketing strategies that enhance Rock Haven’s community visibility and providing administrative support for department functions.75% Develops, maintains and updates marketing content for the Rock Haven Nursing Home not limited to: internal messaging and newsletters, promotional materials, websites, social media accounts, online messaging and presence & intranet
- Develop relationships and partnerships with the medical community to increase referrals to Rock Haven.
- Participate in community events to promote Rock Haven and provide information about the resources that Rock Haven can provide.
- Develop new, or modify existing, informational fliers, brochures, audio-visual aids, presentation materials and handouts specifically related to Rock Haven.
10% Assistant with Staffing
- Grants/denies vacation, holiday, compensatory time, sick leave, and overtime requests according to established policies, and keeps accurate records of submitted requests.
- Checks the call ins daily and adjust staffing levels to meet unit needs on a shift basis.
- Covers staff shortages in accordance with the Facility policy procedure through contact with employees for voluntary and if necessary involuntary work.
- Prepares and maintains staffing schedules for various departments at Rock Haven; incorporating approved vacation, holiday, and compensatory time requests to insure adequate staff coverage on all shifts using critical staffing guides.
- Prepares schedules for posting. Prepares for each appropriate supervisor, retains the master schedule for the staffing office.
- Reviewing schedules, time punches, and rectifying any errors in the HRIS/payroll/scheduling system.
10% Maintains Data Files
- Roster of nursing personnel including: name, current address, phone number, job classification, assigned work and other areas eligible to work.
- Continue file to assist administration in monitoring absenteeism to identify pattern development and/or need for disciplinary action.
5% Perform duties as assigned
- May participate in the execution of the facility vacation bidding process.
- Attend all meetings as required
- Knowledge of computer programs and software including but not limited to Microsoft Suite
- Skills in keyboarding and typing.
- Knowledge of office equipment including but not limited to computer, fax, and copier.
- Ability to maintain complex records, to assemble and organize complex data and to prepare reports from such records
- Training and/or experience with public speaking
- Familiarity with non-profit client focused agencies in Rock County desirable
- Excellent reading, writing, listening and speaking skills required
- Understanding of the populations Rock Haven serves and ability to interact well with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
- Ability to use the computer and a variety of software programs effectively
- Ability to exercise time management skills
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems
- Ability to organize work and multi-task
- Ability to meet deadlines and tend to details

- Graduation from high school supplemented with pertinent course work at a business college or vocational school.
- Two or more years of responsible office work experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills.
- Previous marketing and promotion experience
- Experience with a variety of computer programs to include but not limited to databases, access, excel, word, website and related department software programs.
- Must be able to type a minimum of 40 net words per minute.
- Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle in working order
- Work involves walking, sitting, standing, bending, twisting, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, reaching, and driving.
- Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds is not uncommon.
- Work hours may include some evenings and/or weekends to accommodate community events.
- Working conditions may vary in relation to heat, cold, fatigue, etc.
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Expected salary: $22.05 – 24.05 per hour
