Job description: Job Title: Research NurseJob DescriptionThe primary responsibilities of the Med-Surg Research Nurse include coordinating all aspects of patient care for patients enrolled in clinical trials. The research nurse must have in-depth knowledge of protocol requirements and good clinical practices.Responsibilities
- Recruit, screen, enroll, and follow up with eligible subjects according to protocol requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including regulatory documents, signed informed consent forms, source documentation, drug dispensing logs, subject logs, and study-related communication.
- Complete case report forms (CRFs), data entry, report adverse events, manage caseloads, and study files.
- Educate patients regarding protocol procedures and treatment regimens as needed.
- Order and document investigational and commercially available drugs and devices.
- Function as a liaison between the health network and major study groups/sponsors to fulfill standards of care.
Essential Skills
- Registered Nurse with current licensure.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5 years of experience as an RN with floor experience.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical research, chart review, clinical trials, regulatory requirements, and good clinical practices (GCP).
- Strong skills in patient care and data management.
