The Electrical Foreperson will provide leadership and technical expertise for a solar installation crew. The Electrical Foreperson is responsible for the Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Productivity of each assigned solar installation project. The Electrical Foreperson is a working field position that leads a team of 3 to 6 members to successfully complete residential and small commercial projects.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the successful installation of residential solar projectsOrganize, lead, and train crew members to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframesEnsure attention to detail with an emphasis on safety, quality, customer service, and productivityEffectively manage all aspects of the construction workflow of the project to drive productivityEnsure that there is adequate materials and equipment to safely and efficiently complete projectsEffectively maintain project documentation and photo requirementsDemonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards related to photovoltaic installations and enforce safety practices and standardsCheck on progress of installers every hour throughout the installation to ensure the installation processFollow Construction Job Flow ProceduresDevelop a positive working dynamic within installation crew and branch co-workersAnalyze and resolve worker problems and recommend solutionsMaintain consistent and appropriate interface with customer throughout construction phasePerform weekly vehicle inspection for proper tire pressures, oil level, working lights, etcObtain customer payments and deliver to management as requiredEnsure accuracy of your own and crew’s time sheetsProvide construct-ability feedback to managementMaintain excellent lines of communicationPerform service calls when necessaryAdditional duties assigned as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust possess a valid Journeyman License/Electrician Certification or equivalent per local and state requirements, e.g. wireman licenseKnowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards.
