This individual is well-connected into the external ecosystem and comfortable driving and owning the external sourcing strategy for leadership talent within Microsoft. - Leads the implementation of a short- and long-term hiring plan for complex organizations, areas, or talent pools for our Engineering organizations such as AI, Security, Data Centers, etc.
- Partners cloesly with executives, HR, and colleagues to determine the current and future executive Talent Acquisition needs, talent gaps, and advise on market availability to ensure the right hire is made at the right time.
- Responsible for providing quality external talent maps, building and maintaining compete strategies, and providing education on market realities
- Leverages long-term relationships with talent pools and communities across the industry. Develops a comprehensive approach that integrates multiple concepts (e.g., community building, business intelligence) to create an innovative sourcing strategy for a division, set of countries, or subsidiaries
- Initial engagement and preparation of candidates in the hiring process while proactively identifying factors that may adversely affect them. Create an innovative sourcing strategy, including ways to generate differentiated talent
- Partners with colleagues to manage the candidate assessment framework and screening process, while identifying shared practices for both. Maintain candidates’ qualifications and status in the appropriate systems, and lead the optimization of staffing policies throughout the organization.
- Moves high-level candidates through the hiring process while ensuring their needs are met and driving solutions that balance the client’s needs. Present businesses with broad talent gaps and hiring needs, and market and channel insights to drive hiring plans.

- Bachelor’s Degree AND 6+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years executive talent acquisition experience (e.g., sourcing, research) in or in support of enterprise organizations as a corporate executive or executive search recruiter.
- 2+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., sourcing, research) supporting technical roles (e.g., AI, Data Science, Research, Quantum Computing, Data Center)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., sourcing, research) supporting AI roles.
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft productivity tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, and/or recruiting CRM systems.
- Deep knowledge of dynamic landscape in the global market knowledge.
- Proven process/systems management, interpersonal, organizational, written, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proven communications skills and relationship management capabilities.
- Expertise in the following areas: Strategic Insight, Influencing for Impact, Judgment, Cross Boundary Collaboration, Negotiation, and Systems Thinking
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and candidate tracking systems is required.
Talent Acquisition IC5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 – $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 – $219,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
