This leader must maintain strong relationships with leading industry analysts and facilitate robust, two-way discussions between the analysts and internal stakeholders. The role demands deep understanding of enterprise technologies, cloud computing, and the broader technology landscape.This is a highly strategic position that looks around corners with Product & Engineering teams and understand AWS product strategy and roadmaps. It also requires close collaboration across Marketing, PR, and Sales organizations to engage with the analyst community and utilize the analyst assets. - Lead, inspire and oversee the global AWS Analyst Relations team, reporting to the AWS CMO.
- Build, influence and maintain strategic relationships with key industry analysts and advisory firms, ensuring AWS’s technology portfolio is accurately represented in research.
- Collaborate with product teams to effectively communicate AWS’s technical capabilities, market position, and competitive advantages to the analyst community.
- Drive analyst briefing programs, managing executive relationships and ensuring high-quality engagement with industry influencers and working to ensure coverage of AWS is accurate and positive.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for major industry events, analyst days, and advisory sessions.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, PR, and Sales teams to leverage analyst insights and research in go-to-market activities.
- Monitor and analyze analyst research and market trends to provide strategic insights to AWS leadership.
- Lead the team in creating and maintaining analyst-facing materials, including presentations, briefing documents, and response strategies.
- Drive measurement and reporting of AR program effectiveness and impact on business objectives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of analyst relations/communications/product marketing experience in the tech industry
- 12+ years directly interacting with Gartner, Forrester and other major IT industry analyst firms
- 12+ years of people management experience
- Experience in supporting and driving business value for Sales, Product, and/or Marketing teams at a large-scale multi-geographical organization
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Clearly understands technology and can abstract business/solution value
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
- Able to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment

The base pay for this position ranges from $196,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $293,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
