Job description: DescriptionWorking as part of cross-functional team, develop and/or modify existing manufacturing processes and equipment within rated spaces with a focus on Safety & adherence/compliance to standards and/or codes. Process and Machine development may range from fully custom in-house design and fabrication to collaborating with external designers or design integrators to deliver the best solution. Collaborates cross-functionally with Maintenance, Master Electrician, Controls Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Environmental Health & Safety and Product Management to ensure decisions are robust and well balanced. Understand and apply design best practices in accordance with standards/codes for rated spaces. Develop complex modifications to existing equipment or design of simple, but entirely new equipment.
- Prioritizes daily activities and aligns actions to support overall function and business strategy.

- A Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial, etc.)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience
- Experience in manufacturing and/or equipment/ventilation design in rated spaces
- Demonstrated understanding of UL508A, NFPA 70E, NFPA 660 (or predecessors), NFPA 497, and NEC code requirements.
- Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in technically demanding environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred
- 4 years of relevant manufacturing experience that involves mixing of powders or other potentially hazardous materials
- Proficient in Solidworks or other 3D Modeling
- Experience in power transmission design, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation
