Job description: Job Description:Responsible for applying mechanical engineering principles in the testing, certification and product development process from concept ideation, design, prototype, testing, and commissioning to final production. Participate in a cross-functional Team that owns the action plan to deliver products.Responsibilities:
- Full product line design responsibility
- New Product Introduction – delivers new product development initiatives
- Continuous Improvement – delivers sustaining engineering initiatives
- Self-sufficient in prioritizing tasks and capable of handling multiple projects.
- Product Design Analysis; validation, simulation, calculations, models/drawings, and other technical documentation
- Product design responsibility
- New Product Introduction – delivers new product development initiatives
- Continuous Improvement – delivers sustaining engineering initiatives
- Self-sufficient in prioritizing tasks
- Product Design Analysis; validation, simulation, calculations, models/drawings, and other technical documentation
- Applications Engineering – delivers Engineered Specials. Provides customer technical support through escalation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Civil-Structural Engineering; or equivalent
- 7+ years’ of experience in product development
- Licensed professional engineer (PE); preferred
- Solidworks, AutoCAD; preferred
- Advanced Product Configuration Knowledge Preferred
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
- Normal office environment.
- Moderate travel
20% * Laboratory testing environment.
- Production environment, when applicable.
- Some field exposure possible
